Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care
The Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care provides a solid
grounding in core principles and skills needed for a supervisory
role in health and social care.
The unique design of the course of study combines foundational
learning with the opportunity to focus on an area of specialization.
You can choose from a wide range of specialization courses
including health promotion, social policy, public health, managing
human resources, psychology, counseling skills, supporting
independent living and more.
Upon successful completion of the Level 5 Diploma, you will be
able to contribute positively to good practice in health and social
care at a supervisory level.
The Level 5 Diploma has been designed to be accessible to all
motivated learners. However, you will likely benefit more from the
program if you have a Qualifi Level 4 Certificate in Health and
Social Care and/or a recognized National Certificate or Diploma
in Health and Social Care and/or related work experience.
Upon completion of the Level 5 Diploma, you should be able to
• The final year or two of an undergraduate degree; or
• Employment in an associated profession.
The Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care consists of five mandatory, foundational units and three optional units. You must complete all five mandatory and at least three of the optional units.
